Frequently asked questions:

1. Can the cup leak?

If inserted correctly, the menstrual cup should not leak. In case such a situation occurs, you should try to identify the cause. The most common problems include wrong size, incorrect placement resulting in the cup not unfolding properly, blocking holes or simply being overfilled.

2. Can the menstrual cup fall out?

A properly inserted cup in the appropriate size will not fall out on its own. Remember that the vacuum that is created effectively holds the cup in the vagina. If the cup is too small, it may slide down and give the impression that it is about to fall out, but this is unlikely.

3. Can the menstrual cup get stuck?

This is not possible, although you may get this impression when you cannot feel the cup. Remember that the most important thing is to relax – stress works against you, contracting the muscles further. Relax and start alternately tightening and relaxing your muscles. Then grasp the base of the cup with your fingers and press gently to peel the ends away from the vaginal walls and remove the vacuum.

4. Can the menstrual cup be used during exercise?

There are no contraindications to using the cup during exercise. However, we recommend that you empty it before and immediately after exercise. Keep in mind that if you observe a leak during normal use, it is much more likely that one will also occur during exercise.

Method of use

Folding the cup:

Squeeze the sides of the cup with your fingers so that the edges fold into a C or Punch Down shape. Inserting the cup will be easier if you choose a comfortable position. Insert the folded cup into your vagina. When you release your grip, the cup will open, sticking to your walls. You can run your finger along the rim to check the attachment.

Removing the cup:

Squeeze the base of the cup and use your finger to peel it away from the cervical walls, removing the vacuum. Then gently slide the cup out and empty its contents into the toilet.

Disinfecting the cup:

Place the cup in the container. Pour hot or cold water, close the container and shake it vigorously for a few seconds. And then use it again! You can also clean it with intimate wipes. Remember that before the first and after the last use during the cycle, you should disinfect the cup – preferably in the my bella container created for this purpose. Fill the container with water and place it, uncovered, in the microwave at 850 W for 5 minutes. You can also scald the cup in boiling water for about 3 minutes.
